What gear do you use?
I am a die hard Nikon fan! I have two Nikon D750 camera bodies as well as a Nikon D700 camera (my first pro camera and my precious baby)
I have a selection of lenses I bring along, but my favourite lenses are my Sigma art 35mm 1.4 lens as well as my Nikon 85mm 1.4 lens.
I also have some video lights and flashes as well as reflectors and triggers.
What is the difference between an assistant and second shooter?
All of my photography packages include an assistant. This is basically my runner of the day. He/She will assist me with lighting or carrying of gear, as well as help clear up any cluttered spaces and look out for little details I might have missed. He/She I’ll jokingly refer to as the eyes in the back of my head. Mostly my husband is my assistant, which I love as we work together incredibly well and it’s the only time I get to boss him around 😉
A Second shooter is a pro photographer service I offer in my premium collection, they cover different angles of the day. For example if timing and location does not allow me to photograph the groom I enlist the help of a second shooter to photograph the groom getting ready while I am with the bride. It’s also really cool to have a second shooter around to photograph pre-drinks while the bridal couple are off adoring each other during their couple shoot.
I really enjoy bringing a second shooter along to a wedding which is why I include the service free of charge in my premium wedding collection. There is also an option of booking a second shooter additionally on either of my other collections.
Do you offer photobooths or table shots
I aim to take a documentative approach to wedding photography and therefore don’t include a photobooth in my services, however I can highly recommend a number of photobooth services should you require it. From previous experience I have found that table shots can really take away from the enjoyment of the reception. Often the most beautiful memories I have managed to photograph is where the individual wasn’t aware of me being all ninja in the background. Should you want images of your guests I suggest setting up a nice seating area where we could take images that is free from dirty tablewear and clutter.
How will you approach our wedding day?
I have quite a relaxed but enthusiastic approach to any wedding day. I am excited with you and sometimes I even cry with you. By the time your wedding day has arrived, we would have spent quite a good deal discussing the wedding and getting to know each other. I do my best to remind you how precious the day is and to thoroughly enjoy it. The day is incredibly fleeting so I encourage you to take it all in.
We aren’t photo people and we don’t really like posing
That’s okay! One of the things I have been told quite often by my clients is that I am very approachable and make people feel quite comfortable. I will guide you through the session with lots of conversation and laughs, you will hardly even notice there’s a camera in front of my face J
How can we book you?
You can fill out a request form and I will be in contact as soon as possible. We can either get together over coffee or we can discuss your wedding details over email.
Once you are ready, I will forward you a booking form and contract as well details for the 50% non-refundable booking fee.
How long will I wait for my photos
Typically I will have an online gallery available with a selection of photos within 3-4 weeks of your wedding, the full wedding depending on printing required will be completed within 8-12 weeks (If you are also having a book printed).
